Sports Programs
MWR Sports offers a wide variety of sporting competitions for Active Duty, their spouses, Ready Reservists, and DOD Civilians. The Captain’s Cup Program is a more formal and competitive sports opportunity. Each registered command will compete in leagues/tournaments throughout the year to accumulate points. The command that finishes the year with the most accumulated points will be presented the Captain’s Cup Trophy; the Captain’s Cup Trophy will then be on display at the winning command until defeated.
Intramural Leagues or Tournaments: (Some of these are part of the Captains Cup program):
Leagues or Tournaments are offered in: Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Softball, Darts, Billiards, Kickball, Table Tennis, 4 on 4 Beach Volleyball, Indoor Volleyball, Racquetball, H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training), Corn Hole, Dodgeball, and Sports Day in September (multiple events in one day). We are always open to add more sports/events, so if there is something that you have enjoyed participating in while growing up or at other installations please let us know, we would love to add them to our schedule.
Recreational Sports:
Recreational Sports opportunities provide a fun way to enjoy sports in a noncompetitive nature throughout the entire year. Recreational Sports are open to anyone who is eligible to include: Active Duty, Dependents (16 years or older), DOD Civilians, Ready Reservist and Retirees. Authorized patrons can be from NAS Whiting Field, NAS Pensacola or NASP Corry Station. These sports allow players to interact with not only their co-workers, but also anyone that they meet who is interested in sports.
